Engineering & Fabrication of a small fleet of 988 Mental Health Crisis Vans.
In an interesting change of pace, we put a pause on vans for people having fun and switched to making vans for people really not having fun.
The partitions & doors of these vans were built out of .5" thick acrylic and HDPE. The purpose of this material was to have a clear partition that was extremely durable and easy to clean. HDPE and acrylic are both very hygienic, so they were the clear choice.
The cabinets were built in-house out of colored HDPE. This material was chosen for its durability in hot & humid environments, as well as its ease of cleaning.
The partition was an engineering challenge, requiring a massive piano hinge secured with 100s of Flush-on-Both-Sides rivets for safety reasons.
These vans also featured robust Victron electrical systems, Dometic AC units, and Legend Fleet interiors that we configured and installed.
