Robots. How do they work?

To this day, no one knows. However, Julian Sandpaper and I are trying to figure it out.

Julian drove out to Detroit a few years ago and bought a Kuka robot arm that came off a car assembly line. We've since spent countless days and nights installing, learning to operate, and repairing the robot.

The biggest project accomplished with the robot arm to date has been Julian's Sapele Bird. This 8 foot tall sculpture was carved out of a massive glue-up of solid hardwood Sapele. The process took weeks and was an intensive learning experience.

We have since acquired two more robots, a Kuka KR16 and a KR6. They are smaller, more manageable robots that we bought to explore motion control/video robotics, 3D printing, and welding.
